The Federal Reserve Is "Quite Transparent"

Watch this video and you tell me if Ben Bernanke doesn’t look like he is doing a damn fine impression of a deer in the headlights?  It is a rare moment when one sees Bernanke squirming and speaking rather rapidly – two hallmarks of Bernanke freaking out.  TurboTaxTimmie does the very same thing when he is under fire, and they both realize that their power is slipping away.

Bernanke: “My concern about the legislation (HR1207) is that if the GAO (Government Accountability Office) is auditing not only the operational aspects of our programs, the details of the programs, but is making judgements about our policy decisions, that would effectively be a takeover of monetary policy by the congress, a repudiation of the independence of the Federal Reserve which would be highly destructive to the stability of the financial system, the dollar, and our national economic situation.

Ya Think Ben?  Our founding fathers were completely against a central bank system, (a banking cartel which is what the Federal Reserve System IS), and all four presidents that worked toward abolishing a central bank system were assassinated; coincidence?

Remember that quote “quite transparent”?  Today’s AYFKM? Award: The Federal Reserve…for not being able, even using red crayon math, to account for $9 TRILLION DOLLARS!!!  $9 FREAKIN’ TRILLION – NINE, not $9 Million or $9 Billion, NINE TRILLION!…and Ben does not want to be audited.  Tough kibbles Ben!

I don’t see him so much taken by surprise as I see him getting aggravated and THREATENING congress to get out of his face. He talks about all of the “transparency” that the Fed is currently showing (gently and subtly telling us and congress “this is all we are going to give”), then he clearly states that if congress gets in his way it would be taken out on the economy. If Ron Paul’s bill were to pass, rather that submit to an audit, the Fed will just “pull the plug” and away goes the economy down the drain. Of course, that is the general plan, but “THEY” are not quite ready yet, but “THEY” will speed up their plans if forced.

I wish our military had the guts that the Honduran Army has shown, they removed a president who was planning to circumvent their Constitution. Obama has circumvented our Constitution, spit on it and wiped his behind with it, yet he is still in power. What is wrong with this picture?

Hmmm…transparent? Not really except to say that it is quite transparent Bernanke doesn’t want the Fed audited. So much is wrong with this picture!

Sorry I wandered off topic. Bernanke alledgedly said that it would be far better to bankrupt the taxpayers through progressive taxes then to let the FED fail. Jefferson had it right when he said that our chidren would wake up homeless on the continent of their fathers. He attributed to private banks, but in our case it will be because of a communist dictatorship with Obama at the helm.

  5. PM,

At this point, what’s the difference? I’d rather have the economy collapse but have the government take back control of the monetary system than to just have the economy collapse once they’ve got the global union ready to roll.

She looks like someone caught with her hands in the cookie jar. She has no idea where the 9 trillion dollars went to. She has no idea and she doesn’t know who knows where the money went to, even though she is Inspector General. There were numerous off balance sheet transactions. Holy Cow! She doesn’t even know what the losses were. No one is keeping track of the 2 trillion losses. Actually it’s lots more and the 9 trillion is really 12 trillion or more. (this puma has a new blog name)
As for the person who put her there…the President Puppet with his dysfunctional shadow government————->He’s a coward, a bigot and a pathological liar and I do not like him in the least no matter what color he is.
If you really want a laugh or maybe another shock, go check out the puppet’s latest comment about the Hondouras Coup. This one takes the cake. This creep in chief’s true colors are shining through. What a weakling. Obots voted in a weakling..er I mean stole the election for a feeble-minded weakling. What a riot!

GG, I agree, I would prefer the same, but the government we have is a product of and owned by the Fed., they have been at this game for a while now. I would love for the gov’t to do the right thing, and print their (our) own money without paying the bankers interest set by themselves, but alas, this is what got Kennedy and Lincoln killed and attempts on Jackson’s life.

It surprises me that Honduras has more guts than us, but then again they have something else that we don’t: a congress and Supreme Court that will uphold their constitution. Our Sup. Ct. and congress are cheering our rogue dictator on and threatening anyone that opposes him. All are owned, lock, stok and barrel by the Fed. bankers.
