First Honorary Democratic A** Award – Lindsey Graham

To borrow a line from Glenn Beck; “You are the Protectors of Liberty”, which means you have a couple of questions to ask yourself.

  1. Am I a true patriot that believes in the principles laid down by the Constitution and the Founding Fathers, or am I a socialist sheep that would be running for South America if I were a Nazi SS officer?
  2. What, when, where, and how am I willing to protect these principles and liberties for myself, my family and future generations?

No answer required; it is just something you need to start thinking about and have clear answers for those questions.  Also, you might want to think about looking beyond the immediate disenfranchisement problem.

My first Honorary Democratic A** Award given to Republicans that have hit their knees for the Messiah is awarded to Lindsey Graham.  Let’s leave Snowe, Collins and Spector out of this for the time being.  They get their very own special award.  Ask the right question; “What is the payoff for Republicans to give up the true Republican Party Principles of fiscal responsibility, free markets, and small government?”

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham has had an I.V. line of koolaid inserted over the weekend:

THOMAS JEFFERSON: (These quotes sum up what a Founding Father thought about a National Bank):

“It has always been denied by the republican party in this country, that the Constitution had given the power of incorporation to Congress. On the establishment of the Bank of the United States, this was the great ground on which that establishment was combated; and the party prevailing supported it only on the argument of its being an incident to the power given them for raising money.” –Thomas Jefferson to Dr. Maese, 1809. ME 12:231

“[The] Bank of the United States… is one of the most deadly hostility existing, against the principles and form of our Constitution… An institution like this, penetrating by its branches every part of the Union, acting by command and in phalanx, may, in a critical moment, upset the government. I deem no government safe which is under the vassalage of any self-constituted authorities, or any other authority than that of the nation, or its regular functionaries. What an obstruction could not this bank of the United States, with all its branch banks, be in time of war! It might dictate to us the peace we should accept, or withdraw its aids. Ought we then to give further growth to an institution so powerful, so hostile?” –Thomas Jefferson to Albert Gallatin, 1803. ME 10:437

“Scenes are now to take place as will open the eyes of credulity and of insanity itself, to the dangers of a paper medium abandoned to the discretion of avarice and of swindlers.” –Thomas Jefferson to Thomas Cooper, 1814. ME 14:189

“The States should be applied to, to transfer the right of issuing circulating paper to Congress exclusively, in perpetuum.” –Thomas Jefferson to John W. Eppes, 1813. ME 13:276

“The evils of this deluge of paper money are not to be removed until our citizens are generally and radically instructed in their cause and consequences, and silence by their authority the interested clamors and sophistry of speculating, shaving, and banking institutions. Till then, we must be content to return quoad hoc to the savage state, to recur to barter in the exchange of our property for want of a stable common measure of value, that now in use being less fixed than the beads and wampum of the Indian, and to deliver up our citizens, their property and their labor, passive victims to the swindling tricks of bankers and mountebankers.” –Thomas Jefferson to John Adams, 1819. ME 15:185

  1. I truly believe that the Republicans are all OK with this crap…because BUSINESS will conduct the nationalization and control all services and the social safety net. They won’t have to compete too much and will still rake in tons of money from the taxpayer/gov’t.

It’s a bargain made in hell, especially for us!

  2. IA – you already know exactly how I feel about all of them – fire them..Ds & Rs are both corrupt.

Remember what John Rockefeller said – Competition is a Sin.

It just keeps getting worse everyday. The nightmares are coming to pass.

The bill that is coming up that Obama introduced or had a hand in ( about the only one he did as Senator ) the Global Poverty Act which puts our military under the U.N (?) and we are all charged a global poverty tax.

I can not beleive what has been achieved in just a little over 3 weeks.

  4. Beth – not 3 weeks. This is the endgame of 95 years of planning and implementation. Just seems fast to people that are just waking up. Welcome to the matrix,….never thought I would say that evah!

Diamond, I have ranted against the national banks for months and months, and until I found your blog no one wanted to listen. Here is a quote from John Frances Hylan, Mayor of NYC from 1918 to 1925.

“The real menace of our republic is this invisible government which like a giant octopus sprawls its slimy length over city, state, and nation. It seizes in its long and powerful tentacles, our executive officers, our legislative bodies, our schools, our courts aour newspapers, and every agency created for the public protection.”

“The little coterie of international bankers virtually runs the United States Government for their own selfish purposes.”

    – John Francis Hylan (April 20, 1868 – January 12, 1936) was the Mayor of New York City from 1918 to 1925. Mayor Hylan felt that the head of the octopus was the Federal Reserve.

As you can see this poisonous octopus is not a new entity. It has been weaving its slimy way through every facet of our lives for a very, very long time. It is only when we have a weak president, (Carter and Obama for two) that it becomes strong enough to squeeze the life out of the country if a strong adversary doesn’t come along.

If only we had another Andrew Jackson. President Jackson thought he had killed the bank, but after his death it began resurfacing and when Woodrow Wilson came along, with his trusty side-kick Edmund House, the Federal Reserve Act came into being. Since that time, (1913) we have all been slaves to the central bank whether we knew it or not.

Lindsey Graham astonishes me. I thought better of him, but I guess that either the kool-aid was too strong or he was too weak to withstand
the pressures of today’s politics. With the way the government is turning today you have to be very strong and dedicated to be a true patriot. Sad to say I don’t see many of those in our present govenment, either at the national or local level.

    Thanks for the post, Diamond.

I would like to nominate Gov. Charlie Crist of Florida to be considered for this award.

The way he followed and fawned all over obama it was truly outrageous. You just have to the look at what Florida reaped from the stimulus to understand his actions.

He is not a true conservative but did run and win as a republican. Now that Florida voted democratic in Nov maybe he will switch parties.

I do know that he was not a happy camper when McCain picked Palin as vp . I guess the only good thing to come of this is but their actions we will know them.

This is my first post but I would like to thank you for all of your hard work the only thing that keeps alot of us optimistic is the work of you and others who try to keep us informed and I for one know that this is not done without personal jeopardy so please stay safe and you will never know how much good you are doing.

  7. Kathy – thanks for coming out of the shadows. People must stand up, speak up, and act up even if it is just putting forth your opinion.

Considering who I have had on this morning – I either am in amazing danger or I have some very big time guardian angels – don’t know which yet, but I do Know this….THOMAS JEFFERSON WOULD BE KICKING MY ASS IF I DID NOT SPEAK UP!

  8. navyvet48 says:

You have angels my friend! Graham is showing his true colors…he is a RINO and needs to be recalled to SC to get his ass chewed by their governor, Mark Sanford!

Republicans are not okay with nationalizing banks, this is not their MO…you must read the book Confessions of an Economic Hit Man you will have an entirely different point of view!

Our country I am sorry to say is definitely not innocent and actually helped further globalism…

  9. Kathy says:

Never underestimate your guardian angles. I have been praying daily for months for someone in the government to speak out about the b/c issue. When I read about the four Tennesse reps. who have I knew that prayers have been heard. When I called to thank them for their efforts I was so surprised that I could not contain my emotions. I guess it was just the relief to know that they were trying.

Of course who knows how that will turn out but there is no way to express how it affected me. It was like ok maybe there are those who care. Sorry if this is rambling but the courage of the few, yourself included, is just so amazing to me.

So all are in my prayers and thanks is offered for the fight you and others are fighting. I do believe God is on our side and when his time is right things will change. I do not know others thoughts on that but if I did not believe that I do not think I could handle any of this.

  10. Rock On Girlfriend! I live in a place where everything happens as it should and every dark cloud has a silver lining.

We have nothing to fear because we are walking in the light.

I take courage from the founding fathers who actually went up against a monarchy/dictatorship. How can I not do this?

  11. If there’s one thing I learned from my Mom’s death, it’s that you need to go down swinging. If you know you threw everything you have at it and you still lose, it’s easier to accept the loss. But if you don’t take a swing, you don’t have a chance to hit it, whether it’s a sloppy grounder or out of the park.

Indeed, how can we not do this?
