Obama's Cabinet Picks; The Whining Turns To Blame

Now where did I put those ear plugs?  Bitch, bitch, bitch….

Camille Paglia is at it again:

What do the Clintons have on Obama?

…But I must admit to puzzled disappointment with his recycling of Clinton era veterans, who reek of déjà vu. Surely we might have expected a better mix of fresh faces and progressive voices? Obama’s team may have underestimated the labyrinthine personal interconnections and habit-worn loyalties of that cliquish crew.

As for Obama’s appointment of Hillary Clinton as secretary of state, what sense does that make except within parochial Democratic politics? Awarding such a prize plum to Hillary may be a sop to her aggrieved fan base, but what exactly are her credentials for that position? Aside from being a mediocre senator (who, contrary to press reports, did very little for upstate New York), Hillary has a poor track record as both a negotiator and a manager. And of course both Clintons constantly view the world through the milky lens of their own self-interest. Well, it’s time for Hillary to put up or shut up. If she gets as little traction in world affairs as Condoleezza Rice has, Hillary will be flushed down the rabbit hole with her feckless husband and effectively neutralized as a future presidential contender. If that’s Obama’s clever plan, is it worth the gamble? The secretary of state should be a more reserved, unflappable character — not a drama queen who, even in her acceptance speech, morphed into three different personalities in the space of five minutes.

Given Obama’s elaborate deference to the Clintons, beginning with his over-accommodation of them at the Democratic convention in August, a nagging question has floated around the Web: What do the Clintons have on him? No one doubts that the Clinton opposition research team was turning over every rock in its mission to propel Hillary into the White House. There’s an information vacuum here that conspiracy theorists have been rushing to fill.

So Camille is thinking that the Clintons have “something” on The One.  At this point, who doesn’t? Should we ask Patrick Fitzgerald?

Obama’s Statement Today 12-8-08:

“I had no contact with the governor or his office, and so I was not aware of what was happening. And as I said it is a sad day for Illinois. Beyond that I don’t think it’s appropriate to comment.”

David Axelrod’s Interview on 11-23-08 (1:20):

(Update: Fox had YouTube yank this video but the ever amazing M1Media made a video with a clip of Axelrod’s statement. Is not the Internet a wonderful thing? Make sure you show M1’s channel some love.)

What about Obama’s “good judgement” that we keep hearing about.  No one who has as many skeletons that can be used as blackmail can ever be considered to have “good judgement”.   I would hope that it is only the Clintons that have political leverage, and not, for instance, China, Russia, Iran, Pakistan…etc.

  1. “At this point, who doesn’t?”

Great question! Reckon you’ll get any answers on that one?

It would be a very short list, I’d imagine.

    God bless America.

I do not think we will EVER find out who is protecting The One, and make no mistake, he is being protected. None of the questionable things he has done have ever stuck! Remember the land deal with Rezko and the appraiser?

  3. Hey. DT –

Oh, I agree completely. There is NO WAY Obama skated through with all of the nefarious associates he had if he wan’t being protected. Any ONE of those guys (Rezko, Wright, Ayers, Auchi, Fitzpatrick, to name a few) would have sunk anyone else. I mean, really – two convicted felons in ONE YEAR who were close friends of his? Just the Rezko stuff, had that been McCain or Clinton? Oh, we know what would have happened THERE. So, yeah, he is most definitely being protected by some mighty powerful people. He is trying mighty hard for this Blagojevich thing to not touch him with all of his incredulous lies…

    Thanks for the post, DT!

It is intresting to note that a Fox News affiliate has performed censorship on the video in your post. UGH! The media is still at it and it just makes me sick. And to think this is only the beginning!
