PUMAs On The Move….

My last post touched on the journey that this blog has been on; starting with Blogger, and then moving on to this site.  I also mentioned that:

Now the time has come to move this blog to it’s own domain as I am finding that this initial coping mechanism has turned into an amazing journey and a passion that I did not know I had.  I spend so much time researching and writing for this blog that not only am I a working mom with a special needs child and a husband, this blog has turned into a second fulltime job, and as such, deserves it’s own special platform where I can be more creative.  The constraints of WP.com have really started to make my stripes ripple

So here we go again, and hopefully this will be the last time…..come join me in my new tiger abode that allows me the creativity I was seeking.  Please forgive any glitches in the system while I import all my old articles and continue to flatten out the learning curve.  Also, please bookmark my new site, as I haven’t gotten the RSS up yet.  Same great name, just better furnishings…….  http://logisticsmonster.com/

Logistics Monster: A Change Is Coming….

I have not written numerous posts in the last few days and may only write sparsely in the next few days because a change for the Monster is coming….

I have been unbelievably blessed with an ever growing following and would like to thank all of you that have supported this blog in the past, and a special thanks to those that migrated here with me from Blogger.

As some of you may know, I started my blog as a way to vent my frustration about the audacity of “the empty chair”, the stupidity of the primary race, the insanity of the superdelegates, the sham roll call vote, caucus fraud, and the blindness of the average Obamabot.

There were security concerns with Blogger, so I moved the Monster here to WordPress.com. The constraints of WP.com have really started to make my stripes ripple.

I have been working on the learning curve of building another website and I expect the New Monster to be up and running in a few days.  I will keep you updated as to where and when.  Please feel free to leave comments as to what you want to see saved and what you want added or changed.

Until then, Hele Mai!

Wall Street Banks: The Wolf Is At The Door

This was a post that I was hoping that I would never have to write, but the wolf is at the door now and the next few days are going to be one hell of a rollercoaster.  On July 16th, when PUMA and Just Say No Deal were still lobbying Superdelegates and the DNC to reconsider their selection of Barack Obama, I wrote “Economic Crossroads” where I spoke about requiring Senator Clinton’s expertise over that of Barack Obama in relation to what was happening with the sub-prime mortgage meltdown and the economy in general.

For over a year I have been watching the economy very closely, and watching the average American managing the best that they can with the cards that are being dealt on a day to day basis.  We have had a sub-prime mortgage meltdown proceeding along for almost two years and watched the price of gasoline skyrocket even though Americans are using less in order to continue to feed their families.

I can already hear you saying that you do not need to be slapped silly with this kind of news, but I am getting to my point now.  I mentioned in an earlier post that we are standing at the edge of an abyss.  A financial maelstrom that is going to require immense fortitude, commitment, and leadership to contain and reign it in. We were heading this direction, but not as far along, when President Bill Clinton was elected and I think we all remember what happened with the deficit and the economy over the course of his eight years in the White House.  Had there been another democrat elected in 2000, we may not have been standing here watching our economy suffer because of the greed of a few.  A close friend, who was uncommitted in his presidential choice, asked me a year ago who I was going to vote for and why.  My response?  Hillary; the economy.

…..

Now personally, I do not give a hoot if the emperor wants to run around Chicago without any clothes, but I do care about putting someone in the White House who will know HOW to RESPOND to the current crisis that is a slow moving whirlpool, but is continually picking up speed by the moment, and dragging our country and us down with it.

……

Everyone has their own pet issue that they like to foster and care for, but let it be known, that America is a democratic capitalist country and the barometer for its strength is not the size of it’s military, it is the condition of it’s economy; like it or not.

On March 14th, Bear Stearns turned to JP Morgan and the Fed for a rescue, July 11th,  the FDIC took over control of IndyMac Bancorp; September 7th, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are taken over by the government, September 11th, the Lehman Brothers story started to hit the MSM and throughout the weekend there was talk about Barclays buying Lehman, but now we have Lehman filing for bankruptcy, Merrill Lynch being bought by Bank of America and AIG seeking a $40 Billion lifeline from the Fed.

In one of the most dramatic days in Wall Street’s history, Merrill Lynch agreed to sell itself on Sunday to Bank of America for roughly $50 billion to avert a deepening financial crisis, while another prominent securities firm, Lehman Brothers, said it would seek bankruptcy protection and hurtled toward liquidation after it failed to find a buyer.

The humbling moves, which reshape the landscape of American finance, mark the latest chapter in a tumultuous year in which once-proud financial institutions have been brought to their knees as a result of hundreds of billions of dollars in losses because of bad mortgage finance and real estate investments.

But even as the fates of Lehman and Merrill hung in the balance, another crisis loomed as the insurance giant American International Group appeared to teeter. Staggered by losses stemming from the credit crisis, A.I.G. sought a $40 billion lifeline from the Federal Reserve, without which the company may have only days to survive.

The stunning series of events culminated a weekend of frantic around-the-clock negotiations, as Wall Street bankers huddled in meetings at the behest of Bush administration officials to try to avoid a downward spiral in the markets stemming from a crisis of confidence.

…..

Indeed, in a move that echoed Wall Street’s rescue of a big hedge fund a decade ago this week, 10 major banks agreed to create an emergency fund of $70 billion to $100 billion that financial institutions can use to protect themselves from the fallout of Lehman’s failure.

If we take a little walk back thru time, we find that on Monday, December 3rd, 2007, Senator Clinton proposed a 90-day moratorium on home foreclosures.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton proposed on Monday a 90-day moratorium on home foreclosures to give financially troubled borrowers time to work with lenders and avoid losing their homes.

The New York senator outlined the proposal in a letter to U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, who is trying to broker a deal with mortgage lenders that would help troubled borrowers.

The crisis surrounding subprime mortgages extended to borrowers with spotty credit has unnerved financial markets and could deepen a slump in the U.S. housing market that some economists fear has pushed the economy close to recession.

“It is critical that we address this crisis,” Clinton said in a letter to Paulson. “The administration and the mortgage industry must reach agreement that matches the scale of the problem. If you produce an inadequate agreement, or fail outright, the cost to our economy will be incalculable.

The slow motion domino effect that Clinton was alluding to has started and is now picking up speedThis is what we may be expecting when the markets open here in the US in a few hours.

Wall Street to Plunge on Lehman Collapse

By CNBC.com | 15 Sep 2008 | 04:12 AM ET

Wall Street looked set to plummet Monday after investment bank Lehman Brothers filed for bankruptcy, failing to find a buyer despite strong lobbying from the federal government.

An extremely rare Sunday afternoon Wall Street trading session, held with the intention of reducing systemic risk posed by Lehman descended into chaos, said one participant.

Organized by ISDA, the International Swaps and Derivatives Association, the session was done via a massive conference call involving dozens of firms from all over the world.

“Yelling and screaming,” occurred in the session, said one participant, with many participants unaware of the rules.

So here it is….the wolf is at the door, growling and snarling and we do not have the person who almost a year ago was foreseeing the impending financial firestorm brewing on the horizon.  More than likely, we will be hearing from Senator Clinton in the next few days but what should really be concerning all Americans right now is what do John McCain and Barack Obama have to say about what is occurring right now.  These two candidates need to be playing their A game right now on this issue, and with Barack Obama’s gaffe about being on the Banking Committee (when he wasn’t) and John McCain’s stupid comment about not knowing much about the economy, these two better be getting schooled.   I foresee Obama blaming the Bush administration and trying to link it to McCain.  I see McCain taking a more proactive approach.  I could be wrong on both accounts, we will have to see.

I will be praying that the slide ends here.

PUMA Politics: Gumby’s Slide Into Oblivion

Lo and Behold, It seems that the Democratic Party Leadership is realizing just how arrogant and juvenile Gumby is and are echoing what PUMAs were trying to tell the superdelegates before the convention.  Barack Obama is in denial and is going to lose this election in November.

It is not at all amazing to me that I read this article in the Telegraph UK, and it is not amazing to me that the Dems are having canaries about Bambi’s campaign style.  What is amazing is that so many PUMAs and Just Say No Deal Coalitioners could have been so incredibly right about the junior senator from Illinois and the DNC leadership could still try to force this fool on the American public and actually think he could win the White House.

Barack Obama and his senior advisers are under fire for ignoring the advice of Democratic senators and governors who are concerned that they do not know how to beat John McCain.

The Democratic presidential candidate’s slump in the polls has sparked pointed private criticism that he is squandering a once-in-a-generation chance to win back the White House.

I take issue with that; I think the Dem Party under the leadership of Dean, Pelosi, Reid and Brazile squandered a once-in-a-generation chance to win back the White House when they kicked Hillary Clinton to the curb and installed this spineless, arrogant, Chicago Style Politics as usual, empty chair.  Hillary would have had a ferocious battle to win the White House.  It would not have been a cake walk, but she would have won.  Now we are watching the gradual slide into oblivion for the Democratic Party’s selected candidate.

Party elders also believe the Obama camp is in denial about warnings from Democratic pollsters that his true standing is four to six points lower than that in published polls because of hidden racism from voters – something that would put him a long way behind Mr McCain.

What have I and other PUMAs been saying?  That Bambi polls below his reported numbers?  I hate having to wait for some newspaper to print what astute PUMAs have been saying for most of the year.

A senior Democratic strategist, who has played a prominent role in two presidential campaigns, told The Sunday Telegraph: “These guys are on the verge of blowing the greatest gimme in the history of American politics. They’re the most arrogant bunch Ive ever seen. They won’t accept that they are losing and they won’t listen.”

Arrogant…….hmmm….sounds pretty juvenile to me.

Others concede that his trip to Europe was a distraction that enhanced his celebrity status rather than his electability on Main Street, USA.

Imagine that…..rock concerts and beer fests for 200,000 Germans instead of campaigning in America.

Mr Obama has never won an electoral contest against a strong Republican candidate. David Axelrod, his chief strategist has been hailed as a political genius for beating the Clinton machine, but Democrats now point out that he has never run a successful campaign in the heartland states like Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Virginia, which will decide the election. His expertise is in mobilising young, educated and black voters in urban areas.

Oh please, let’s be serious.  Bambi’s standard operating procedure during elections is to have his opponents knocked off the ballot so that he ends up running unopposed.  He single handedly defeated the Clinton Machine so never winning an electoral contest against a strong Republican candidate should not be that big a deal, right?  Oh, sorry, going to be really hard to get the completely vetted, prisoner of war, country first,  John McCain off the ballot, so let’s try to get Sarah Palin knocked off the ticket for being a bad mom, a religious kook and a small town mayor with no real experience.  Maybe that will work.

Also, David Axelrod as a “political genius” for beating the Clinton machine is completely laughable.  The reason Hillary was “beaten” was due to caucus fraud, superdelegate payoffs, disenfranchisement of two huge states that would have put Hillary ahead in the delegate count, and the sham roll call vote in Denver.  Let’s be honest, I think all of that really probably belongs to the “political genius” of Donna Brazile and her email buddy, Karl Rove.

Party elders are also studying internal polling material which warns the Obama camp that his true standing is worse than it appears in polls because voters lie to polling companies about their reluctance to vote for a black candidate. The phenomenon is known in the US as the Bradley effect, after Tom Bradley, a black candidate for governor of California who lost after leading comfortably in polls.

The strategist said: “I’ve seen memos where they’ve been told to factor in four to six points for the Bradley effect, but they’re in denial about it.

I know I remember writing that down a couple of times…….

The one thing everyone agrees the Obama camp have woken up to is the toxic effect on their chances of Mrs Palin’s arrival on the national scene. Polls show that white women voters, attracted to her down home virtues, now support Mr McCain by a margin of 12 points, the same lead among white women that George W. Bush enjoyed over John Kerry in 2004. Until recently, Mr Obama led among that group of voters by six points.

So we are talking about an 18 point slide away from “The One” by white women.  Isn’t that a significant part of Hillary Clinton’s true democratic base? The old, fat, menopausal white women?  The base that they did not need anymore because the Democratic Party is “urban” now.

The Republican strategist Dan Schnur said that the effect was to repel blue collar, family-oriented voters. “They didn’t like Obama in the primaries and voted for Hillary. And they still don’t like him now so they’re voting for Palin.

“Obama can still win these voters over, but his difficulty in establishing an emotional connection with them is probably his greatest challenge between now and election day.”

Dream on….once again underestimating your average, run of the mill, everyday PUMA, and underestimating the hubris of the candidate.  He will not even be trying to establish a connection because he does not think he needs to.  He does not need the democratic party base to win this election.  Just ask Donna Brazile. Gumby was coddled by the DNC leadership during the primaries and now he has no clue how to do battle with the Republicans. He was given a pass by the DNC and the MSM, and Hillary’s hands were tied behind her back.  Thanks Dean, Pelosi, Reid, Brazile and all you absolutely wonderful Superdelegates for creating this campaign that is going down in flames.

But it is a measure of his plight that the man who derailed the ambitions of Mrs Clinton, the most powerful woman in Democratic politics, now needs help from her husband to overcome the popularity of another alpha female who may be an even greater risk to his White House ambitions.

I get really tired of the MSM writing that Gumby derailed Hillary Clinton.  It is implied that Bambi actually is somehow, some way, some kind of superhero by “defeating” Hillary Clinton all by his lonesome.  We know the truth; the superdelegates carried this empty chair across the finish line and the DNC leadership made sure it stuck.

I once wrote that Gumby should never gotten down off the porch to play with the big dogs, and now America and the Democratic Party are seeing why.

PUMA Politics: Gumby and Equal Pay For Women

Gumby talks a good game but when it comes to delivering, (remember Candidate X and Candidate Y?), he fails again.  He said that he was going to fillabuster FISA and then layed down like a lamb and voted FOR IT.  Once again he has proven that he is all talk and no walk when it comes to women’s issues.

I wish he would stop lying and pandering and just withdraw from this race; because we all know he is not about to become truthful about what he really thinks and what he really wants to do.

According to the Seattle Post Intelligencer OpEd piece:

“Now is the time to keep the promise of equal pay for an equal day’s work,” Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama said Aug. 28 in his convention acceptance speech. He told the crowd in Denver: “I want my daughters to have exactly the same opportunities as your sons.”

Obama’s campaign website is even more specific. Under the heading “Fighting for Pay Equity,” the women’s issues page laments that, “Despite decades of progress, women still make only 77 cents for every dollar a man makes. A recent study estimates it will take another 47 years for women to close the wage gap with men at Fortune 500 corporate offices. Barack Obama believes the government needs to take steps to better enforce the Equal Pay Act…”

Obama’s commitment to federally mandated pay equity stretches from the Rockies to Wall Street and beyond. And yet it seems to have eluded his Senate office. Compensation figures for his legislative staff reveal that Obama pays women just 83 cents for every dollar his men make.

…..

Again, on average, Obama’s female staffers earn just 83 cents for every dollar his male staffers make. This figure certainly exceeds the 77-cent threshold that Obama’s campaign website condemns. However, 83 cents do not equal $1. In spite of this 17-cent gap between Obama’s rhetoric and reality, he chose to chide GOP presidential contender John McCain on this issue.

….

Obama’s criticism notwithstanding, McCain’s payment patterns are the stuff of feminist dreams.

McCain’s 17 male staffers split $916,914, thus averaging $53,936. His 25 female employees divided $1,396,958 and averaged $55,878.

On average, according to these data, women in John McCain’s office make $1.04 for every dollar a man makes. In fact, all other things being equal, a typical female staffer could earn 21 cents more per dollar paid to her male counterpart — while adding $10,726 to her annual income — by leaving Barack Obama’s office and going to work for John McCain.

…..

In short, these statistics suggest that John McCain is more than fair with his female employees, while Barack Obama — at the expense of the women who work for him — quietly perpetuates the very same pay-equity divide that he loudly denounces. Of all people, the Democratic standard bearer should understand that equal pay begins at home.

Now tell me, who is being an Old Style Washington Politician?

PUMA Politics: How Dare Barack Obama Run For President

As I think almost every person on the planet knows, today is the anniversary of the terrorist attacks on America by Fundamentalist Islamic Jihadists.  I do not think that I am alone in trying to not think about that horrendous trauma and the subsequent rape of individual freedoms when the Patriot Act was passed by our spineless Congress, which marked the secondary attack by the terrorists. Our Founding Fathers wept.

That being said, I am writing a post, for the first time, about how this moment in history is and should be affecting our election this fall.  Although Barack Obama and John McCain have decided not to be political on this day; I think it is more than fitting to be political in such a year, and years as we have seen.  But first, I wanted to put up a memorial 9/11 video by onevietkid because it may help the readers understand the title of this post and what follows….

As much as I hate to agree with the current administration, somebody has been keeping America attack free for the last 7 years.  Alot of someones have been putting country first, as all of us should throughout each day of our lives as we have been blessed to be born American Citizens.  That being said, I must state loudly and unequivocally:

Barack Obama, How Dare You Run For President!!

How Dare You Put Your Inexperienced, Empty Chair Out In Front Of The American Public As A Choice For President!

How Dare You!!!

Do I think that a Barack Obama administration would continue to keep us from being attacked again?  No.

Do I think that a junior senator from Chicago with 143 days of experience in the Senate before he started running for the presidency is going to keep us safe and move our country forward; here and internationally? No.

Do I think that a candidate that lacks foreign relations, combat, economic, executive, or war experience will make a good president in these times? BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!    No…

Do I think that a candidate that has never chaired one of his own committees in the Senate will be able to put a worthy cabinet together, delegate responsiblity and lead a country?  No.

Do I think that a community organizer than has been endorsed by every terrorist nation in the world is going to look like a strong leader not to be f*cked with? No.

Do I think that a candidate than cannot even run a presidential campaign against the opposition without attacking the opposing vice presidential candidate every despicable way possible, has the good judgement to know which battles to fight? No.

Do I think that a candidate that stayed in an Anti-American church while race-hate was being preached has the testicular fortitude not to blink at a crucial, dangerous moment? No.

Do I think that a candidate that gamed the primaries can somehow become honest in the White House and believe in country first before individual ego? No.

Do I think that a candidate that has so many questionable associates and “mentors” who either hated on America verbally, or bombed America literally is going to keep our constitution safe? No.

Do I think that a candidate that voted to give immunity to the telecom companies so that they may continue to wiretap Americans without impunity will guard our freedoms? No.

Do I think that a “citizen of the world” who throws rock concerts, beer fests and speeches in foreign nations instead of meeting Americans that are being hardest hit by the price of oil and food, actually puts country first? No.

Do I think that a candidate who would not travel to honor/visit wounded troops will be thinking about those lives he may have to put into harm’s way with one decision? No.

Do I think that Barack Obama is in this race for himself and to trade up to a bigger house, more prestige and to make unprecedented American History as the first (half white/half) black president? Yes.  Do I think he and Mishy have been all jacked up about that history fact since they met? Probably.  All Ego, All The Time.

Does Michelle Obama and her very special brand of racism scare the bejesus out of me and mine? Yes. Do I think that Gumby scurries away to hide when Mishy looks at him sideways? Yes.

Do I think that many hostile, terrorist filled nations are just salivating while they wait for Americans to do something unbelievably stupid and downright moronic as electing Barack Obama?  OH YEAH!

(I am sure there are more reasons that you my dear readers can add in comments…)

I would be a fool to vote for Barack Obama because he has not shown good judgement in his choice of associates or decision making abilities; his deception and allowing of gaming of the primaries in his favor,  or his spineless waffling on every major issue.

I would be a fool to vote for Barack Obama because I believe he is WEAK AND SPINELESS and will allow our country to be overrun by the very same assholes that bombed us 7 years ago because he will blink when he should have stood tall.

Fundamentalist Islamic Jihadists believe that if you will not convert, you will then die.  Enough Said.

Barack, How Dare You Run For President!

You may be a fool, but I am not.

I put COUNTRY FIRST!

I continue to JUST SAY NO DEAL!!!!!!!

PUMA Politics: Biden About to Bite It?

I have been waiting for this moment and I guess it may just have arrived.  For those of you that haven’t heard about Joe Biden talking about Hillary Clinton’s credentials to be VP, then here is the video:

Are we seeing the set up for Joe to bite it and Hillary to be added to Bambi’s ticket?  Is the luncheon between Gumby and President Clinton tomorrow a negotiation?

Enquiring minds want to know.

PUMA: Are You Freaking Kidding Me Award? Gumby Obambi

Today’s Are You Freakin’ Kidding Me? Award once again goes to Barack Obama for his fake outrage and trying to make the American Public believe that he really wasn’t talking about Sarah Palin with the “lipstick on a pig” comment.

I know everybody has heard quite enough about this, but I do have a relevant point.  To refresh everybody’s memory, according to CBS News:

Tonight Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., said of McCain painting himself as a change agent, “You know, you can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig.” … “You can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called ‘change,’” Obama continued, “it’s still gonna stink after eight years. We’ve had enough of the same old thing! It’s time to bring about real change to Washington. And that’s the choice you’ve got in this election.”

The McCain campaign called Obama’s comments “disgraceful” and demanded an apology. The campaign added that Obama, in addition to calling Palin a pig, might have also been calling John McCain a fish, which, of course, would also require an apology.

and the current situation according to Ben Smith over at Politico:

Speaking at a high school in Norfolk, Obama took a few moments to address what he calls “the made-up controversy” of the day, Amie Parnes reports.

Obama said the McCain campaign moved to “seize an innocent remark and take it out of context because they knew it’s catnip for the news media.”

…..

Obama called the attacks “lies, outrage and swift boat politics.”

…..

UPDATE: McCain spokesman Brian Rogers responds: “Barack Obama can’t campaign with schoolyard insults and then try to claim outrage at the tone of the campaign. His talk of new politics is as empty as his campaign trail promises, and his record of bucking his party and reaching across the aisle simply doesn’t exist.”

The reason Gumby is receiving the AYFKM? Award today, you may ask?  Gumby is getting immersion therapy with this award today because he is trying to pull the same type of stupid, sexist, misogynistic stunt twice and he got caught this time.  I do not believe for one instant that he did not know what he was doing or saying, and for all of you out there, including Governor Huckabee, pay attention and watch this (at 1:26) and you will understand the pattern of behavior of this very juvenile, supposed senator, empty chair, from Chicago, Illinois.

After watching that, is there any doubt in your mind that we are dealing with a juvenile?  Are we ready to turn this country over to this fool and his dubious associates?
